Study of population redistribution in neon by laser optogalvanic spectroscopy

POSTER

Abstract

Using neon hollow cathode lamp and employing two different experimental techniques, we have studied population redistribution in neon energy levels as a result of laser excitation. This work has also enabled us to measure effective lifetimes of the 1s$_{i}$ and the 2p$_{j}$ states.
