Recent Results from the PbO Electron EDM Experiment

Abstract

We are currently taking the first data in our search for a permanent electric dipole moment (EDM) of the electron using a lead oxide (PbO) vapor cell. The existence of an EDM would imply physics beyond the standard model. We will present the current results and discuss limits on our statistical sensitivity as well as prospects for near and far term improvements.
