Stored light optimization in Rb vapor cells

Abstract

We present an experimental study of stored light in Rb vapor cells under conditions of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT). We study the technical and fundamental limitations to storage lifetimes, efficiency, and fidelity, and propose optimization schemes.
