Simulating Amorphous Silicon Pillars on a Silica Substrate

Abstract

A metasurface composed of amorphous silicon pillars shows promise for use in biophysical experiments. The focus of this study is to simulate a subunit of an amorphous silicon metasurface under various environmental conditions. Transmittance and field enhancement are simulated in water and air to corroborate experimental results.
