Highly Decelerated Microdroplets, Cosmic Ray Physics and more at Hartnell College in Salinas, CA

ORAL

Abstract

In this presentation, we describe the Research Scholar Institute program, a unique undergraduate physics research internship program at Hartnell College. Specifically, we would be presenting results from a novel dynamics of microdroplet experiment, which originated from the search for fractional charge experiment at SLAC, cosmic ray detector experiments implementing multipixel photon counters (MPPC), that exhibit quantized photon distributions, and other novel physics experiments. Our program has successfully mentored community college STEM students to do research both at Hartnell College and at Department of Energy labs that included LBL and FermiLab.
