Looking for Life in Space: A Heliophysics-centric Exploration

ORAL

Abstract

Heliophysics is an exciting context for teaching many foundational physics ideas that are related to the search for life in space. Using our Sun and solar system as a case study, educators can teach about spectral analysis of stars and planetary atmospheres, thermal radiation, and planetary magnetism, and extend these understandings in our search for exoplanets.
