Xenon Radioisotope Spectroscopy in Atom Trap Trace Analysis System

Abstract

Xenon Magneto Optical Trap (MOT) is a highly selective atomic trap that collects and examines neutral atoms. The Xe-MOT is the final chamber of the atom trap trace analysis system (ATTA). The ATTA is a laser-based alternative to ultrasensitive xenon isotope detection. This project confirms xenon isotope shift measurements, comparing results to published xenon isotope measurements, and measures previously measured radioisotope properties using validated practices.
