Continuum-limit extrapolation of the pure SU(3) deconfinement temperature using Bayesian model averaging
ORAL
Abstract
Arguably the most important systematic uncertainty plaguing a lattice calculation is the uncertainty due to finite lattice spacing; the act of removing this uncertainty is known as a continuum-limit extrapolation. Here we carry out a continuum-limit extrapolation of the pure SU(3) deconfinement temperature $T_d$. We leverage Bayesian model averaging to get a controlled extrapolation, taking into account uncertainty due to model choice, for example the fit form used to carry out the extrapolation. From our spline results, we are able to reproduce the literature value.
