Love Numbers for Rotating 5D Black Holes
ORAL
Abstract
We introduce the concepts of static response coefficients and scalar tidal Love Numbers for black holes as physical observables of their rigidity under external perturbations. In 4 dimensions, Love Numbers are known to vanish regardless of the mass and spin of the black hole. Is this still true in higher dimensions? As an initial exploration, we focus on the 5 dimensional cases and present our results obtained for solutions with spherical, planar and toroidal horizon topology and compare them with known cases in the literature.
