Etaloning Laser Interference Analysis Spectrometry (ELIAS)

Abstract

We have developed a robust, inexpensive wavelength meter that passes monochromatic, collimated light through a series of etalon-like structures, collects the resulting interference pattern with a webcam, then uses it to calculate the light's wavelength to within a few picometers.
